Visions Newspaper at Paterson's Club Involvement Fair! by Jadelyn Villa

On Thursday, February 20th, the Paterson campus' Spring Club Involvement Fair was held in the Paterson Room from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. The event was sponsored by Passaic County Community College's own Center for Student Engagement and the Student Government Association. This fair was the second in a series hosted by both organizations at each of PCCC's main campuses.

After signing in with SGA, each student was given a bingo sheet to be used at each table. There was a total of thirteen associations display at the Paterson Campus fair, and each club

representative would stamp the students bingo card-- allowing them to partake in the served food and refreshments. The represented groups include SGA, the Pride Club, MOCSI, Transfer Services, Student Affairs, SSS ESL, the Lions Club, the Environmental Club, PTK, the E-Sports Club, B2B, the Path 2 College program, and of course, Visions Student-Run Newspaper.

Each table was adorned with memorabilia signifying elements of each club. Many offered stickers, flyers, and snacks to recruit new members-- the E-sports Club even catered an entire gaming set-up! SGA's booth provided succulent tea-light candles as a reward to students who filled out their surveys.

One was for this semesters Town Hall, a bi-annual meeting SGA holds to hear from PCCC's students on their thoughts and ideas. It was created by this years' Speaker Elizabeth Ramos.

The second survey aided their 2025 CRASH Project research, which is an educational awareness program empowering college students to develop campaigns addressing transportation safety in their communities.

However, that is not all: SGA and Student Engagement also hosted a craft table where students could paint canvas tote bags. As previously mentioned, chicken tenders were served alongside an assortment of sodas and water. For dessert, an ice cream station was arranged for students to dress-up their bowls with a variety of toppings, including caramel & chocolate sauce, cherries, and whipped cream.

Make sure to catch the last Club Involvement Fair of the semester at the Wanaque Campus this upcoming Tuesday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the student lounge!
