Transfer Fair at Passaic County Community College by Paul Perdomo

On March 18th and 19th, I attended two transfer fairs at the Paterson Room at Passaic County Community College. Once there, I was able to speak with the transfer admissions officers or directors from different colleges about what the college itself can provide for transfer students.
John Jay College of Criminal Justice:
Jenise Reyes detailed that John Jay is a great institution and has over 30 majors and minors. Some of its popular programs are forensics, psychology, and criminal justice. John Jay is located at 59th and 10th Ave in New York.
Felician University
Gine DeFlaco explained that Felician is located in Rutherford and its best programs are cybersecurity, computer science, nursing, occupational therapy, criminal justice, psychology, and business administration, which are accelerated by only $375.00 of credit.
TCNJ
Alexa Villalba, an admissions counselor for The College of New Jersey, documented that the school was originally a teaching school, and the most popular programs are within the school of business.
Rowan University
Andy Dykeman is the newest transfer counselor for Rowan, and he spoke about the different schools within the university, such as business, engineering, and education. The school was founded in 1923 and has grown tremendously since then.

TESU
Jay Grady from Thomas Edison State University said that the school was one of 11 public universities in New Jersey. The BSN program is the most popular, and classes are 100% online, making education convenient and affordable. The school has 40 different bachelor programs.
MSU
Erin Samples elaborated that Montclair State University is the second largest university in the state, offering over 300 majors and minors in concentrations: "We also partner with Bloomfield College, which offers a unique small-size campus."
Saint Peters University
Makayla Stokes from Saint Peters detailed that the university is a small Jesuit university, one of the 27 in the country located in Jersey City. The most popular major is business, where students can concentrate on six different areas of business and get experiential learning opportunities in NYC.
FDU
Marco Bermudez from Fairleigh Dickinson University allows students to get more one-on-one connections with their professors and get to know the community on a wider range. The health sciences programs are the most prominent as FDU is beginning to pivot focus on this area of study institution-wide, such as radiography, nursing, and physical therapy.
Stevens Institute of Technology
Ellis Sanchez from Stevens is located in Hoboken. The school offers STEM programs, and the most popular majors are science, technology, engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, and mathematics.
NJCU
George Fernandez from New Jersey City University expressed the most popular majors are business, cybersecurity, and national security.
Drew University
Sunita Bhargava from Drew detailed the school is a small liberal arts school that partners with

STEM fields. Popular majors are English and the social sciences.
RCNJ
Nora McCarthy works for both PCCC and Ramapo College for the 3+1 and 2+2 programs, where students can get a head start on a bachelors degree from community college. The most popular programs are biology, social work, and business.
Stockton University
Enrico DeRooy from Stockton offers students an opportunity for free tuition and programs like Garden State Guarantee and scholarships.
WPU
Keisha Newell represented the ASPIRE program at William Paterson University. This offers Hispanic students who are eligible to study biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental science, mathematics, and exercise physiology. Tyler Schreckenstein from WPU also said they offer 150 different majors, minors, and concentrations for students to choose from and a plethora of different clubs and organizations.
Rutgers
Bill Bailey from the School of Management Labor Relations at Rutgers University in New Brunswick offers labor studies and human resource management programs. Annette Madarasz from Rutgers also detailed that the School of Arts and Sciences has the largest division with more than 20,000 students and 100-plus programs. The other schools are Business, Engineering, Environmental and Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, and Nursing. Morgan Smith described the most popular programs within the School of Business: accounting, finance, information systems, & leadership and management. The college offered scholarships to transfer students who applied before February 1st.
Pennsylvania College of Technology
Anna Stanaback from Pennsylvania College explained the college has 150 programs and is located in Williamsport. It is also affiliated with Penn State.
