On November 5th, from 2:30 to 4:10 pm, PCCC's Pride Club hosted a movie night in the Paterson Room, featuring the classic film The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) is about a married couple who had their car broken down, and they ask for the help of antagonist and transvestite mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter at his haunted mansion, where bizarre things take place. It’s a horror, comedy, romantic, musical, action, and thriller movie that comments on sexual themes with
entertaining visuals and writing, according to the students in attendance. The Pride Club had popcorn, pizza, and drinks for everyone to enjoy with the movie. 30 people showed up at the event and some were new or old movie-goers. Overall, the club has helped students see and engage in discussions about the movie's characters, music, and facts about the movie. The movie left a lasting impression on students as some were humming the song from the movie and quoting its iconic lines.
If you'd like to join the Pride Club, their meetings are Tuesdays from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. They are always welcoming new members to their club and hosting events for PCCC students!
