On Thursday April 30th at 2 p.m. PCCC published students had the opportunity to showcase their work at a virtual Poetry Banquet originally scheduled at the Hamilton Club on April 16th.
The event was hosted by Visions' Staff who had their debut online journal, Visionaries Journal of Art & Literature. A number of guest poets were invited including Nancy Gerber, Lynne McEniry, and Laura Winters along with English faculty, Nina Alsbrook-Jackson, Richard Marranca, R.G. Rader, and Christine Redman-Waldeyer.
Student winners include poetry, 1st place, Ashely Diaz; 2nd place, Jay Marie Martinez; 3rd place Ashely Diaz; and in 4th Nada Aly. For prose, 1st place, Amanda Rivera; 2nd place, Noura Mohd Jaber; and in 3rd Hakima Bourhlid.
