St. Patrick's Day at PCCC

Today is St Patrick's Day!


Originating as an original holiday and feast day, it commemorates the death of St. Patrick, Ireland's patron saint. He brought Christianity to the island during the 5th century.


The traditional symbols of the holiday include the shamrock, leprechauns, the Celtic cross, the harp, rainbows, and a pot of gold.


Many people celebrate the day by wearing Green, eating Corned Beef and cabbage, and looking for four-leaf clovers.


Although it has become a very American holiday, it is still important to remember its origins.


Here on campus, many people wore Green to share their St Patrick's Day Spirit! Here are some photos of some great green outfits seen today on campus:
