Registration Spooktacular

On Thursday, October 31st, the Office of Student Activities held the Registration Spooktacular to aid students in registration with a flare of Halloween spirit.

In addition to the academic advising, there were many spooky inspired games that granted students candy and tickets for a raffle.

A student favorite game consisted of eye fishing in a cauldron filled with green ooze.

“This event is important for new students because a lot of them get confused, especially when registering for the spring semester. They usually have a lot of questions for us, and we want to make the answers accessible,” said OSA Orientation Leader, Dalvin Ortega.

Assistant Dean of Advisement and Retention, Dr. Dawn Norman mentioned that the event was planned with perfect timing because the spring registration had just opened up. Dr. Norman continued to share that it is a great idea to register early because it allows the student to create their schedule according to their circumstances.

Per semester, students are regularly informed when registration comes around. It is ideal to register as soon as the opportunity opens to get the best schedule.
