"Midnight Stranger": A Poem by Kaylee Rivera Velez

Illuminated by only the stars,
we collide once more.
Lost in the shadows of your silhouette,

your voice never reaches my ears-
but your touch lingers on my skin.
Delay the sun,
so my place in your embrace may remain.
Feel your hands through my hair,
your breath against my cheek,
etch your smile into my brain-
carve your place into my soul.
Are you someone I know, Or have we yet to meet?
Will you find me in the daylight as you have under the moonlight?
Or are you waiting for me?
