The day when I was ay cousin’s baby shower.
My sister told me my mother was on her
Deathbed.
When I heard the news-- my heart dropped.
My breath was taken away.
My emotions were running wild like
Stampede
I felt puzzled and the feeling of crying came
Over me.
I thought about all the possibilities of
Extending her life.
They said they tried everything and she had
Only a few months left If she was lucky.
Eventually, she died And so did a part of me.
