Greetings, Panthers!
As your Student Government Association (SGA) President, I am thrilled to announce the upcoming 2024 SGA Election, where you, the students of PCCC, will have the opportunity to use your vote to choose the next leaders of our student body. This year's election will run from April 22nd to April 28th, and your participation is crucial in shaping PCCC’s future.
Allow me to introduce the twelve candidates who are vying for positions within the 2024-2025 SGA Executive and Legislative

2. Tiffany Guerero – Running for President
3. Judiht Hilares Soto – Running for President
4. Dania Perez – Running for Vice President
5. Conor Guzman – Running for Vice President
6. Elizabeth Ramos – Running for Speaker
7. Chloe Neil - Running for Secretary
8. Dariel Cedano - Running for Treasurer
9. Andres Restrepo - Running for Treasurer
10. Janet Hilares Soto - Running for Senator
11. Ah’Janee Dunston - Running for Senator
12. Rashel Medina Lantigua - Running for Senator
Each of these candidates brings unique perspectives, experiences, and visions for our campus. You can learn more about their platforms and aspirations for PCCC by following our social media account (@pcccpanthers on Instagram) and the PCCC Portal where we will be posting the candidates’ campaign flyers and videos.
Students will also have the opportunity to vote on significant amendments to the SGA Constitution and Bylaws, which have been diligently crafted by our Constitutional Review Committee (CRC).
Now, let's talk about how you can cast your vote. To ensure that every voice is heard, voting will be conducted online through a program called “Election Runner.” All eligible Panthers will receive a link in their PCCC student email, which they must click and follow the instructions to submit their ballot. Remember, your vote matters, and it is your chance to make a difference in our college community.
But wait, there's more! This year, we are excited to announce that all students who participate in the voting process will automatically be entered into a competition to win some incredible prizes. We have lined up some fantastic prizes including:

· Dr. Dre Beats headphones
· $100 PCCC bookstore voucher
You might wonder why we are offering prizes to voters this year. After analyzing SGA Election results since 2018, we realized that less than 5% of our student population votes in the SGA election each year. At the same time, the Student Government Association (SGA) is supposed to be the voice of the student body, run by students for students. We realized that the SGA can’t truly be a successful organization without our students’ voices being heard. We also believe that democracy thrives when everyone participates. By incentivizing voting, we hope to increase voter turnout and ensure that the voices of all Panthers are heard in this important election.
So, mark your calendars, Panthers! The 2024 SGA Election is just around the corner, and your vote is your voice. Let's come together as a community to shape the future of PCCC. Together, we can make a difference.
