I have a mirror

And he is no ordinary mirror

He picks apart my skin

Drawing words from the streaks of sun

Bouncing from his eyes of glass

Bending light into dark

And he shines them down on me

What an incredible power!

To twist and turn rays of reflection and reality

To swirl my face

My body

My mind

Into an amalgamation

An object

How lucky I must be

To have such a mirror

With the ability to turn something into nothing

Thank you

But I do wonder

How I would look

Without your gaze?
